Senedd Expansion (Reform)
I wish to make representation regarding the Labour Party plans to expand the Senedd.
I am an adult individual resident in Denbigh North Wales and submitting my comments as an individual with my contact details shown in this email.
I believe the proposal being pressed by the Labour Government is to increase their majority to the detriment of the general public who currently have no say in the laws being laid and whose objections however strongly laid are totally and undemocratically ignored.
The argument that this will give better scrutiny is totally flawed as the Welsh Government refuse to be scrutinised in any event.
The cost of the implementation is far beyond the estimates put forward and cannot be afforded with a country practically bankrupt and all levels of services failing from Health, Education, Transport, etc.
The proportional representation system disadvantages independent candidates and is undemocratic.
This proposal should be put to a full referendum or at the very least delayed until the next election when it can be fully debated and understood by the electorate.
